SPORTS, COURTS, & GAMES
Plenty of open space for any game your group wants to play. Equipment is available for everything; but, if you want to play softball, we have the backstop and you can bring the balls, bats, and bases.
FIELD SPORTS
Softball, kickball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, wiffle ball
COURTS
Basketball, volleyball, Connect 4 with basketballs
GAME AREA
Ping pong, foosball, human foosball, nine square in the air
LAWN GAMES
Horseshoes, tetherball, outdoor checkers, and a playground
EXPLORE ANYTIME
Most activities do not require a reservation.
HIKE TO THE CROSS
Follow the trail along the Paluxy River up to the hilltop cross, with views of camp and Glen Rose. Our staff can point your group to the trailhead.
Good for: quiet reflection, prayer walks, sunrise devotions
GAGA BALL & RIVER TREK
A camp favorite: part dodgeball, part four square, played until one player is left. We have four official-size pits.
Good for: youth groups, families, high-energy breaks
RESERVE AHEAD
These two are still free, but let your retreat team know in advance so we can have everything ready.
FISHING
Cast a line from the fish hut on the far side of the lake for bass and perch. We provide the equipment and bait, and we practice catch and release.
Free equipment and bait provided. Please give advance notice when booking retreat.
CAMPFIRE
Gather your group around the fire for worship, s'mores, or an evening of stories. The campfire site is free to use; just reserve your spot (unless there is a county imposed burn ban).
