GLEN LAKE CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER

As a non-profit camping ministry, we have an ongoing need for capital improvements, upkeep and maintenance for our multitude of camps, retreats and other programs. We also offer financial aid to individuals and families in need so they can attend camp.

Donations to our General Fund support the annual expenses of the ministry and provide program development opportunities for
Glen Lake Camp.
You can help by making a donation to fund a week of camp for a deserving child. $465 fully funds a week of camp (camper contributes $150-$300). You may donate any amount.
There’s nothing better than a good rocking chair on a patio. Purchase a rocking chair for $500 to honor or memorialize a loved one.

RETIREMENT ASSETS
You can share the benefits of your accumulated retirement assets by making cash gifts to Glen Lake Camp from your retirement assets. These retirement accounts would include IRA's 401-K Plans, etc. You will receive a charitable deduction in the amount of the cash gift.
You can also make a charitable bequest of your retirement assets by naming Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center as the beneficiary of all or a part of these assets. At your death the remaining balance of the account will be distributed to Glen Lake free of tax. Use a Change of Beneficiary form and indicate the amount or percent you wish to give to Glen Lake. Your beneficiary designation can be changed at any time, should your needs or wishes change.
Your gift of retirement assets to Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center may be designated or undesignated. All undesignated gifts are used for Glen Lake’s greatest need.

The following gift planning methods portrayed below are designed to help you explore possible ways of giving to Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center while enhancing the quality of life.
Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable Gift Annuities are a wonderful way of transferring assets to Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center while receiving regular payments. The payments to you from the Trust each year will be a fixed dollar amount that you will specify at the time the gift is made. Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center does not issue gift annuities at this time. Please contact the Texas Methodist Foundation for additional information on naming Glen Lake in a gift annuity.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A gift in the form of a charitable remainder trust offers flexibility to you, the donor, while providing a “gift of a lifetime” to Glen Lake. Glen Lake offers both charitable remainder unitrusts and charitable remainder annuity trusts. These remainder trusts serve as gift vehicles that generate income payments and other tax benefits for you. You can establish one of these trusts with Glen Lake by making an irrevocable contribution of cash, securities or real property to the charitable remainder trust.
Charitable Lead Trust
Charitable lead trusts are great avenues to fulfill pledge agreements with cash, stock, real property (or a combination of these assets) placed in a trust. The periodic payments to Glen Lake from the lead trust are ideal for establishing endowed funds or to fund other special projects.
Life Estate Agreement
A life estate agreement provides you the opportunity to deed your residence to Glen Lake, while maintaining use of the property for a lifetime. This method of giving allows you to receive gift and estate tax deductions.
Life Insurance
To share the benefits of your stewardship, you can name Glen Lake as the beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the proceeds of an insurance policy. You may desire to take out a new policy with ownership and beneficiary rights assigned to Glen Lake. You may find that this a convenient way to make a special gift on the installment plan. Life insurance is an excellent way to make a large gift at a low cost, and it may allow you a tax advantage.

The rocking chairs will be placed around the camp and utilized by our campers and guests throughout the year. Each chair includes an engraved plaque to honor or memorialize a loved one.
DEDICATION BRICK
Our Silent Trail is an integral part of the worship experience at Glen Lake Camp. You can purchase a dedication brick to leave your mark at Glen Lake Camp for future generations. These bricks line the pathway that lead you to Vesper's Point our outdoor amphitheater. Each dedication bricks is a $50.00 donation.
