EMERGING LEADERS INSTITUE

We want to see high school students grow in their faith, make an impact, and develop as the leaders the world needs. Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute is specifically designed to be the catalyst encouraging campers in their relationship with Christ, the church, and all people. It IS NOT a Bible study, or a Sunday school class, or a passion-packed worship event. It IS a guided tour of who God created you to be, how God created you to lead, what it means to be a servant leader, and what it means to live in Christian community.

The Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute includes one weekend in April, four optional practicum weeks, and our High School Pathfinder week of camp., Highly trained coaches guide current 11th, & 12th graders.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
The Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute is a multi-week, immersive leadership development experience. Highly trained coaches guide 10th-12th graders to discover their God-given gifts, reflect on what it means to function as a Christian community, and practice servant leadership while making a difference as camp counselors.

During the Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute, participants focus on discovering their natural strengths followed by learning servant leadership theory, small group dynamics, and how to cast a vision. Then, during Practicum Weeks, participants put to practice what they have learned as volunteer counselors at Glen Lake Elementary Camps while continuing to receive guidance from Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute coaches.

COST
Tuition for the Emerging Leaders Institute is set at $625.00. This includes ELI weekend in April, High School Camp, and Elementary Camps, the participant choose to serve.

PROCESS

1. APPLY

Apply before the deadline of March 31, 2023.

2. INTERVIEW

Schedule an interview and submit references.

We will reach out to schedule an interview with you.

3. ACCEPT

Once accepted into ELI, register your acceptance is required to enter the program.
Participants myst accept by April 5 , 2023

Paperwork to be completed prior to arrival at ELI Weekend.

4. ELI WEEKEND

Discover your natural strengths, learn about servant leadership theory,
small group dynamics, and how to cast a vision during ELI Weekend.

April 21-23, 2023

Location: Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center

5. COMMISSIONING

Be commissioned for a summer of ministry at a special service at ELI Weekend
on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center

6. PRACTICUM WEEKS

Practice servant leadership as a counselor at one or more of our Camps.
Attend as a camper at High School Camp.

7. FALL LEADERSHIP ROLE

Continue to practice servant leadership at your home church. Those headed to college
in the Fall will be connected with their Wesley or local campus ministry.
